The Alameda County Transportation Authority and the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority are implementing two voter approved half-cent transportation sales tax measures. The mission of both agencies is to deliver projects and programs as promised to voters in the two approved Expenditure Plans. ACTA and ACTIA continually provide the taxpayers of Alameda County with quality project, program and administrative services.

FY 07/08 5310 Federal Transportation Grant Program
Caltrans is currently soliciting projects for the Federal Transportation Administration's Elderly and Disabled Specialized Transit Program. The Section 5310 Program provides capital grants to assist private non-profit corporations and public agencies, to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated transportation services for elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.

Applicants must submit their applications to ACTIA and MTC by Friday, May 16, 2008.

Construction of the I-580 Castro Valley Interchange Improvement Project
Bids will be received at the ACTIA office, located at 1333 Broadway, Suite 300, Oakland, CA 94612, until 2:00 PM on June 23, 2008, after which time bids will be publicly opened and read. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project will be held at the ACTIA office on June 5, 2008, at 10:00 AM.
